A lament on the status of cuisine in these days of fraudulent food.

I live in a smallish town southwest of Toronto, Canada that is very much lacking in culinary variety and sophistication.  We are being bombarded with new restaurants pretending to be upscale fine dining establishments but failing miserably.  Dining out options usually include an array of sports bars, fast food joints or the aforementioned pretenders so I have taken it upon myself to begin a commentary on the foods, services and surprises of local and sometimes not-so-local eateries.

Disclaimer: I am by no means a professional food critic or chef; but I am a devout “foodie” with great expectations.  I have a dream that one day I will come across the perfect dining experience.
